Irish Beat Dutchmen! It was a night of firsts Wednesday night as Green Isle cruised to a 12-0 seven-inning win over the New Germany Dutchmen. Irish newcomer Jesse Fuller got the starting call on the hill and went four shutout innings to get his first ever town team win. Congrats to Jesse! Mark Foley threw the final three innings to earn the save.
Irish rookies Nate Pilacinski, Nate Mochinski and Josh Remer all picked up their first big league hits on the evening as well! The game also featured Irish recruit Jeremy Ische behind the dish. Welcome new guys!
On Saturday, Brookings and Dassel-Cokato visit Green Isle for a three team triangular. Saturday games will be 7 innings. On Sunday, the Irish welcome Carver for a 2:00 start in Crow River Valley action.
