#19  Scott Zeiher
Second Base
Bats: Right
A real bitch. Need the head bit off a nail, or the head of some
nuisance wildlife squashed, Zeiher is the answer. "Old Man"
Zeiher has never hesitated to clear the area of less-favorables,
and allows nobody into his close-knit social group ... A real
grandpa like influence, Zeiher's leadership skills demonstrate
toughness, and are dwarfed only by his strikeout totals. The
team's best swing-and-misser, Zeiher is just as likely to draw a
base-on-balls ... 1992 Crow River MVP, could very well have
won the league's triple crown that season. Only the umps are
to blame if he didn't ... An unfortunate injury took away two
years of his prime, yet he still ranks among the club's most
accomplished players ... Started at age 15. Was scared shitless
at third base ... Hit a game-winning, state-tournament
qualifying home run in the bottom of the ninth in the 2002
Region 7C tilt with New Germany. It was the games only run.
Drank his face off afterwards ... An Irish Board (bored)
member. Donates much time with his wife Jenny, to the
organization of the concession stand ... A real killer and a
true-outdoorsman, Zeiher contributes greatly to the lack of
wildlife roaming the area.
